Playboy magazine are reportedly keen to make Kendall j Jenner their latest cover girl, and it wasn’t hard to see what’s drawn the iconic men’s magazine to the statuesque young model as she stepped out for lunch on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old, who recently went topless for an interview with Interview magazine, enjoyed a sushi meal with pals in Los Angeles – and she was hard to miss in a striking black ensemble as she made her way back to her car shortly afterwards.
Kendall opted for a smart black blouse and matching spray-on skinny trousers that drew attention to her incredibly long, slender legs.
Sharply designed ankle boots rounded off her outfit, and gave her an added two inches in height, while a smart black handbag proved to be the only significant accessory on show.
With her eyes shielded behind a pair of mirrored Aviator sunglasses, Kendall was in high spirits as she ventured out of the Los Angeles eatery with a small group of friends.
The young model caught the eye recently with the publication of revealing shots in Interview magazine – but protective mother Kris Jenner said the images met with her approval.
‘She’s a model and that’s really her profession,’ she told The Huffington Post in a live interview on Thursday.
‘Doesn’t she look great? Some people are like “She poses topless.” She’s a model. That’s her profession. It comes with the territory.
‘She’s really good at what she does, and she’s just come off of a great fashion week here in New York where she modelled for Marc Jacobs and went to Paris and sat with Anna Wintour at the Top Shop show.’
The family matriarch agreed that her daughter has the ‘perfect body’ for her chosen profession, saying: ‘I don’t know, I got a lot of curves and I couldn’t pull that off. But she always looks remarkable.’But beauty doesn’t run skin-deep, according to Kris.
‘She’s got such a good heart, and she’s such a good kid,’ she said. ‘And she’s really so happy in her own skin. She’s not shy – it doesn’t bother her.’
The particularly dramatic black and white image features the brunette staring off into the distance with messy voluminous hair blowing around her face and just her hands covering her naked chest.
In another, the model reclines on a chair wearing nothing but leather hot pants.
Defending her and her family, who have come to symbolise excess and the frivolity of celebrity culture, Kendall said she appreciates everything she has.
‘I feel like someone would think of me, or anyone in my family, as unappreciative of a moment, and I’ve really learned to appreciate a moment. I take things in a lot. I’m kind of weird like that. I like to go outside at night by myself and look at the sky and just appreciate it.’
